License
Every theme ships with a LICENSE.md file. This page is the practical summary. For the binding terms, see the Terms of Use on aerolaunch.app.
You bought (or downloaded a free) AeroLaunch theme. You get a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive license to use the source code on as many of your own and your clients’ sites as you want. You can modify it however you want. You can’t resell or redistribute the theme source itself.
You can
Section titled “You can”- ✅ Use the theme on unlimited personal websites.
- ✅ Use the theme on unlimited commercial websites, including sites you build for clients, employers, or your own products.
- ✅ Modify the theme however you want — change the design, add features, remove sections, rewrite components, port it to another framework.
- ✅ Combine the theme with your own work and other open-source code.
- ✅ Receive free updates for as long as we maintain the theme.
- ✅ Sublicense the end product — your client owns the website you built for them; you don’t have to do anything special.
You can’t
Section titled “You can’t”- ❌ Resell, redistribute, or sublicense the theme source itself, in part or in whole, whether modified or not. The end-product website you ship to clients is fine; the theme source is not.
- ❌ Release the theme (or a derivative) as a competing template, starter kit, theme, or boilerplate — free or paid.
- ❌ Claim authorship of the theme or remove the copyright notices in the source.
- ❌ Share your download link or Gumroad account access with others to give them the theme.
- ❌ Use the theme to build a website that promotes hate, harassment, violence, child sexual abuse material, or otherwise unlawful content.
Free themes — required attribution
Section titled “Free themes — required attribution”Aurora, Spark, and Shield are free. You get the same license plus one extra rule: you must keep the Created by aerolaunch.app credit visible somewhere in the footer of your site. A small text link is enough. It’s already in Footer.astro of every free theme — don’t remove it.
If you want to remove the credit, buy the Pro version of the theme — it’s $39 launch (reg. $49) per theme. The Pro version is functionally identical; the only difference is the credit requirement is dropped.
Lifetime updates
Section titled “Lifetime updates”Every purchase comes with lifetime updates for the theme(s) you bought:
- Bug fixes
- New sections, when we add them
- Design refreshes
- Framework upgrades (Astro 6 → 7, Tailwind v4 → v5, etc.)
To get the latest version, re-download from your Gumroad library at gumroad.com/library or from the original receipt email. Major releases also trigger a Gumroad notification to past customers.
The lifetime bundle covers every theme we ship in the future — same license terms apply to each.
Refunds
Section titled “Refunds”Themes are instant digital downloads, so all sales are final once you’ve received the download link and accessed the source. We refund in the cases on our refund policy page — a genuinely broken theme, a delivery failure on our side, or an accidental duplicate purchase. Email hello@aerolaunch.app within 14 days of purchase.
Support
Section titled “Support”This is a self-serve product, not a managed service. We do not provide:
- Custom development against your specific business logic.
- One-on-one customization help.
- Server / hosting setup.
We do answer:
- “I think this is a bug, can you confirm?”
- “Where should I look in the source for X?”
- “How do I do Y with the bundled config?”

Where to find the formal terms
Section titled “Where to find the formal terms”- In the theme zip:

If anything in these summaries contradicts the formal terms, the formal terms govern. The summary exists for clarity, not to substitute for the contract.
